formatting a drive
Posted by Zeliha Bozkurt on January 17, 2008 at 11:38 amHi
I have a Lacie Drive I would like to format so that it works both on Mac & PC. (FCP & Avid)
Do I format it on a PC or on a MAC?
Any ideas.
Thanks
Zee.

The problem with formating the drive for MS-DOS as FAT32 is that it will be slower when used on your Mac and it will have a 4gb file size limitation as well.
You are better off formatting using Apple Extended and installing the application MacDrive on your PC in order to read it.

Hope it helps
