Depends on how you capture them. FCP supports a LOT more codecs then iMovie does.

Possibly again it depends on how you capture them.
For example if they do not have FCP on their computer then they will not even be able to play FCP specific video codecs.
I would play it safe and just capture the footage for them in iMovie.

Keep in mind the example you posted is animation, therefore drawn, the same effect will look quite different with actual video footage.
However like Rob said After Effects would be much better suited for this effect.

Sounds normal.
You are dropping the resolution of the video so much that any graphics are going to look poor.

Blackmagics website dots not say anything about FCE, so i think your will need to get FCP to use that card.

You cannot import a keynote file directly into FCP. From keynote you have to export a video file (make sure you match your sequence settings in FCP) or export still imagess.

Problem is that the MacBook only has USB, there is NO firewire. USB works in bursts of data and therefore cannot handle the constant data speeds needed for for video editing.

No even the iPhone iPod touch and ipad have issues with exchange 2003. It has to do with how exchange 2003 does things. My father runs exchange 2003 and had to do a bunch af adjusting on the server end before it would work with his iphone and iPad.
