I also use “Reveal Affiliated Clips in Front Sequence” when wondering if just one clip in the bin has been used in my sequence.
Right Click on a clip in the bin and select “Reveal Affiliated Clips in Front Sequence”
If the clip is used it will be highlighted in the sequence.
Problem with this is that if you have a short clip it may be difficult to see it highlighted.
For finding a number of clips I use Brett’s method.Victor

Your welcome. I constantly use the Mute / Solo buttons and get that problem every once in a while.
All the best.Victor

I believe it is because the sequence was rendered with “Audio Mixdown”
Try placing a long dissolve at the end of an audio clip.
If you have to render this Do not render with Audio Mixdown enabled.
Your Mute/Solo buttons should work over the dissolve area but not on the area that was untouched.Re-select the audio clip including the dissolve.
Render Audio Mixdown. (Option Command R)
Your Mute/Solo buttons will most likely not work.Hope that helps.

Do you mean export your sequence to Disk via firewire?
If so…
Sequence Audio must be set to either 2 or 4 channel MONO
and each track needs to be routed to its appropriate output.Victor

First have you tried Motion. It has a good stabilization filter. Much better than Final Cut Pro’s.
Core Melt Lock and Load and Core Melt Lock and Load Frames have saved me from those shakes numerous times. Much cleaner and faster than FCP’s filter as well.

Trim Edit to view your out and in points at the same time and adjust accordingly? Yes. Use it all the time. If you are looking for a refresher on the Trim Edit in Final Cut Pro. Diane explains it in this document
https://www.weynand.com/wt/thetrimeditwindow/
I am sure there are other tutorials on it here as well.

I have created similar transitions using a clip from Motion’s Particle Images called Lighting Flares 1.mov.
In Motion the clip is Blue but you can easily change its hue to whatever you like using the HSV Adjust Filter.
Use the Composite Mode “SCREEN” to remove the blacks from the clip.Good Luck

Walter,
I have an Wacom Intous 4 medium tablet. I purchased it for use with Final Cut Studio, but often find myself reaching for the mouse. I have changed preferences and settings to help adjust myself to the tablet, but I can not get it set to a point that I want to use it. All I have seen on the web are demos of how easy it is to use, but I have not found anything specific for editing.
Any help on finding some documentation or tutorial would be much help.
Thanks,Victor
