I hope the new technology will bring down the cost of a Flash Raid System since it seems this is where one gets the most benefit.

Although this announcement is very exciting. I would wait as well. USB-3 was very exciting news for the PC, but I am not sure how many devices in the market take advantage of the connection. Be it, I do not follow the news on USB-3 that much so please excuse if I am wrong.
As for Thunderbolt? The speed seems phenomenal. But most of my investment is in SDI, Fiber & eSata external devices. And as Walter mentions, an adapter for Thunderbolt to eSata will only make that eSata as fast as it already is.
As for the new devices that will take full advantage of Thunderbolt. I can not wait to see them in all their full throttle glory at this years NAB. This years budget does allow for a new MacPro, but it most likely will not allow for that Lightning RAID everyone will be drooling over. Not to mention a new Thunderbolt Raid card.
All that said. Just like USB2 & 3, Firewire 800, eSata and others, the addition is very exciting and I can only imagine what innovations it will bring to the edit suite. This looks to be the start of another great year for Post. WOW!Victor

With just the beginning of Thunderbolt technology. Is this the beginning of the end of the absolute need for a MacPro in the small studio? My main fault with a major laptop purchase was connectivity. This changes everything, well almost I guess.

Spring? NAB?
The Apple area at NAB for the release of FCP 6 (in my opinion) was a great event for the pro community.
Would be good to attend another. If Apple were to have a booth there that is.Victor

You can make a vignette in Photoshop and place it in the sequence using Composite Mode Travel Matte – Luma.
As a test try using the white still below on V1 with your clip on V2. Right click on the movie in V2 and select Composite Travel Matte – Luma
If you like the look you created, edit your movie as usual without the Matte. When finished Export your movie, place on V2 with the Matte on V1 Apply Composite mode Luma then export the final. Obviously this will require much rendering. Its a round about way of applying a Vignette since your video was not correctly transferred.
Hope that helps.

Great video.
I agree with the comments above. Although the footage is wonderful, a more defined storyline will push your shots beyond just being cool and different.
You have some great shots of the dogs running in the forest. Jumping in the water, Walking thru the water. All this can be organized into a great story as opposed to what seems like (at times, not always) a few blocks of wonderful montages of fun shots.
Check out the following link to see a piece that I think has the same types of shots that are in your piece, but with a more defined storyline. Although the shots may be similar, It is the story that pushes these shots well beyond just being cool and imaginative.https://jesserosten.com/2010/stellas-shasta-adventure
All the best,

Could be a number of things with Server.
Do you have access check out the project?
Has the project been checked in prior?
In list view, what is the STATE of the project.
Sometimes here a project might be locked and Admin must unlock it for us. etc etc etc.Probably all the above has alreay been checked. Might be better to post on Apple Server?
good luck,Victor

There is no physical view/pointer/marker that I know of. Thats not to say that there is.
If you are accustomed to pressing Option Command R to render, but do not want to Mixdown.
You can always customize your keyboard layout to lets say…
Option Command R = Render
Command R = Render Audio MixdownTools > Keyboard Layout > Customize
Just type what you are looking for in the upper right. Audio Mixdown
click on the Command with your mouse on the screen
and drag the selection in the Right box to the R Key (or whichever you want)Type render
Click on Option & Command then drag the icon to R.I would save the Keyboard Layout if others also use your Mac to edit. The Default is easily brought back to life by selecting Load Default Keyboard Layout.
Hope that helps
