Hello!
Does anyone know how can I tell whether a particular clip has been used in an edition of a project Final Cut?
In Premiere eg, In the browser window has a column called "usage", And the clips used are marked, And can determine whether it was used and how many times it was used for editing.
This, On a large project, com Eg 200 Clips, Makes editing a breeze, But do not know if this is possible in Final Cut. Anyone knows otherwise address?

Highlight the sequence in the bin. Cmd+F (find) Choose to find used media. It will make a new bin with the used clips. I usually highlight them all, then right click and label them a color like red or green. Then all the instances of that clip in the bins will take on that color. As well as the timeline.

I also use “Reveal Affiliated Clips in Front Sequence” when wondering if just one clip in the bin has been used in my sequence.
Right Click on a clip in the bin and select “Reveal Affiliated Clips in Front Sequence”
If the clip is used it will be highlighted in the sequence.
Problem with this is that if you have a short clip it may be difficult to see it highlighted.
For finding a number of clips I use Brett’s method.

There is no physical view/pointer/marker that I know of. Thats not to say that there is.

If you are accustomed to pressing Option Command R to render, but do not want to Mixdown.
You can always customize your keyboard layout to lets say…
Option Command R = Render
Command R = Render Audio Mixdown

Tools > Keyboard Layout > Customize
Just type what you are looking for in the upper right. Audio Mixdown
click on the Command with your mouse on the screen
and drag the selection in the Right box to the R Key (or whichever you want)

Type render
Click on Option & Command then drag the icon to R.

I would save the Keyboard Layout if others also use your Mac to edit. The Default is easily brought back to life by selecting Load Default Keyboard Layout.
