Using the “Intermediate Result” instead of the “Final Result” in Keylight removes some of the automated colour correction which can introduce artifacts and noise. I have been using this setting in most of my chroma projects combined with AE’s Spill Reduction and it works for most of my work. Of course in most projects I use the same tested setup with a well lit chroma and plenty of light, but I found this to work just fine in chroma footage that I received from other sources with a not so great setup.

Clear cache – I remember that fixed some audio issues once in CS6. However, Dave’s advice is the way to go- render the video and sync up audio in an editing package.

No real time preview in AE, not yet.
Work in Premiere and then import in AE like it was suggested

The actor was too close to the chroma and it looks that there were no lights set with color gels from behind the actor to separate the details (like hair) from the background.
I tried a Luma key and it will get you closer but it’s not clean. Sorry to say but rotoscoping may be your best bet. Try Rotobrush – it’s not intuitive so watch the tutorials if you never done this before.

What version of AE, what OS and what codec is the clip with audio?

I see this is as a final compositing pass job. I would render the whole thing uncompressed and then render a text only matte.Composite the final on top of itself using the text matte as alpha for the top layer and adjust Levels/Curves to get the desired text brightness.

It sure looks like Plexus, but most of this stuff can be achieved with the Connect Layers Script as well.
