You should assign the color profile to your footage (interpret footage).
You should not trust your LCD monitor unless it is a expensive high resolution and color depth monitor that is calibrated dailyTudor “Ted” Jelescu

You problem comes from the way the interpolation is set as default for the keyframes. Choose linear or break the points on the path.

May 31, 2011 at 2:26 pm in reply to: Best 3D model format for use in After Effects? My experience with PSD 3D layers was that AE is slow. Slower than with Zaxwerks- that is why I chose Invigorator for 3D in AE.

May 31, 2011 at 5:11 am in reply to: exporting 1080 time-remapped 7D footage to 720AE does not compress very well – open the project and choose the comp in Adobe Media Encoder and choose one of the presets from there. That should do the trick for you.

May 31, 2011 at 5:03 am in reply to: Render Shortage Problem at After effects CS4The length of your RAM preview is determined by the amount of RAM you have on your system. Not knowing details about what you run AE on I can not be specific but it is normal to get a longer preview at lower resolutions. Also for longer comps you may not be able to preview the whole project, unless you have tons of RAM. You may want to render out at a lower resolution or preview from RAM a chunk of your project at a time by setting the work area to the max your RAM can play and then moving it to where you want to preview.

May 31, 2011 at 4:57 am in reply to: Best 3D model format for use in After Effects?AE does not import 3d models directly- you can do it using a PSD 3d layer of a plugin like Zaxwerks Invigorator. Depending on what you use you can check out the specs on their respective websites.
I have used 3DS models successfully with Zaxwerks Invigorator Pro.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

Here’s a good explanation of frame rates and what the human eye percieves:
https://www.100fps.com/how_many_frames_can_humans_see.htm
A simpler way to put it, 30fps will look smoother and give your eye more detail than 24fps, but that’s a very simple explanation.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

Use time remapping. Once you enable that on the video layer, set a keyframe at the exact frame where you want the video to stop and one more keyframe at the next frame. Then just select the second keyframe you set AND the last keyframe that is automatically set at the end of your clip when you enable Time Remap, and move the second keyframe you set at the point you want the video to start again. If the video layer is shorter than the length of the comp you will need to drag the end of the layer to match the last keyframe for Time Remap to see all the frames.

It’s always useful to give out some basic info like what version of AE you’re using and what OS together with the specs of your system.
Also- are you using OpenGL?
Is the layer on which you apply particles 2d and on top of any 3d layers?Tudor “Ted” Jelescu
