Hi there this is probably really obvious to someone who has worked alot with AE but having just figured out the basics of time-remapping and a horribly fast approaching university deadline just cant figure this out for the life of me, I have read loads of existing threads but nothing seems to work..
ok heres what i have done:

    -imported a 30second 1080 23.976fps continuous clip from a canon 7D
-time remapped it to speed up and slow down specific parts
-rendered as .mp4 and resized to height 720

its really laggy and jumpy nearly 6gb…

basically what i need is to render it out in a small file size at 720 height without making it really bad quality
    can anyone help me?
i am aware that i have probably left out some vital information possibly about codecs? but am not really sure. do tell me if i have left any information out that you need to know in order to help…
Any help would be much appreciated
    Cheers
    Paddy

AE does not compress very well – open the project and choose the comp in Adobe Media Encoder and choose one of the presets from there. That should do the trick for you.
