you probably need to render from live type with a ‘straight’ alpha (it’s probably defaulted to ‘premultiplied’). it will look like crap until you key it over your footage but once it’s keyed you shouldn’t have the ringing or ghosting

I’ve got a friend using one of these things without any complaints. He switches between a G4 and G5 easily, I’m not certain but I think it was this model.
yes that would work but unfortunately that is 3 key strokes and sometimes i’m cutting on my laptop. i’m looking for a way to map it or redefine the distance that ‘shift left arrow’ moves
+1 for checking the Kona Control panel, also double check that you have selected to capture audio in the capture tool. sometimes we forget the simplest things!
just make the clip offline and redigitize the video and audio. provided that you bring in the audio at the same level each time you wouldn’t need to remix anything.
