HDCAM Deck and Aja Kona 3 card
Hello,
Looking for some advise on a Kona 3 card in FCP5. Everything seems to be working as it should with the exception of getting audio in on the card. I am bringing the video signal in on SDI – which should bring the audio in too, but was not the case. I hooked up AES and was able to get audio signal to the card – played through the speakers. But no signal to FCP5. I have tried several different configurations – FCP settings – with no luck. Has anyone run into this problem or have any insight into how to make it work?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Go to the Kona Control Panel and check that the Audio Input is not set the AES/EBU..which is most likely to be. Change it to SDI Embedded and you’ll be sailing along.

+1 for checking the Kona Control panel, also double check that you have selected to capture audio in the capture tool. sometimes we forget the simplest things!
