  • though i’ve not personally done it. i hear that you can convert DVI to a 5 wire BNC and then extend via the BNC with an adapter on each end

  • +1 for Conduit. It is an amazing product that gives node based compositing in Motion and now with it’s latest update right inside FCP. No switching apps, just apply the effect as normal and hit the “View Conduit Editor” (kind of like the “Visual” tab on the CC). It’s not as robust as Shake but for 150 bucks it can’t be beat.

don’t know what card you are using to get out to your monitor but if it’s kona…

“Playback offset is in your System Settings.

It should always be 0 for any Kona product. Default is 4.”

so any chance of combining the 2 apps? i think a timeline in shake’s new iteration would be great. it would kind of put FCP/Shake/Color on par with a DS.

Wow this is amazing. I’ve been putting off buying a Tri-Level Sync as long as possible because of their cost. Thankfully I haven’t had too many jobs that require it. $400, I don’t have a reason to wait anymore. Thanks AJA!

Yes FCP6 and Shake still roundtrip. I’ve heard that the re-branded Shake will be out this summer. I thought it was very interesting to see node based corrections in Color (forgive my ignorance if it was in the last version). Makes me think it wouldn’t be too difficult to add in the rest of the nodes from Shake to make one super program. What would anybody think about Shake with a timeline?

Give everybody a point for helping! I was a bit unclear, I have the latest driver that supports 5.0.4. The actual problem was with the drive flushing. The system had crashed and reset itself. Thanks to all for your help.
