April 16, 2007 at 2:03 pmThe GEN10 is a cost effective and flexible SD/HD/AES sync generator. The GEN10 features 7 outputs including 2 groups of independently controlled SD/HD sync outputs and 1 AES-11 output. The SD outputs can be switched between Color Black or Color Bars. HD tri-level sync can be switched between 19 different HD formats including all that are in use today. The AES-11 output can be switched between SILENCE and TONE. All outputs are in sync with each-other and are sourced from an accurate master time base
in respect to “black burst bob” I would call it the “Zelin”..

April 17, 2007 at 11:38 amProbably sounds strange but this is one of the most exciting announcements of NAB for me. I just saved a couple thousand dollars. Way to go AJA!!!

April 17, 2007 at 3:57 pmthis is the #1 product announcement at the show. The I/O HD is amazing (and other products are amazing), but as far as something that will go into EVERY NEW SYSTEM FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS, nothing can compare to this release. Every new system – Blackmagic, AJA, AVID, etc., will have an AJA GEN10 in it. End of story.

April 18, 2007 at 7:16 pmWow this is amazing. I’ve been putting off buying a Tri-Level Sync as long as possible because of their cost. Thankfully I haven’t had too many jobs that require it. $400, I don’t have a reason to wait anymore. Thanks AJA!
