I don’t believe you can do that. I don’t have the Studio version but understand that it is limited to 4 video tracks. If you want PiPs (more that 4) to appear at the same time you will need to have the ‘full’ version with unlimited tracks. Or use a rather unwieldy work around: That would be to get the first 4 where you want them and render to a lossless format, bring that video back into vegas and you can add 4 more. Of course you would not have control over the first 4 at that point. I don’t believe there is any way you can do it on one track.

Don’t know what you are doing wrong but I just finsihed a similar project. Shot in HDV (NTSC) caotured in HDV (m2t I think) in Vegas 8.1. Project properties set to match the footage (which was all the same BTW)Matched project setting by using the little file icon and choosing a media clip. I then did all my editing which consisted mainly of a few cuts and dissolves and significant color correction through the entire project (a little over an hour in length) all done with HD time line. Then rendered to SD DVDA compliant Mian Concept MPEG 2 video stream and separate AC3 audio. The resultant file turned out great. I left it interlaced as it is destined for television viewing. Viewed on PC there is some evidence of interlace artifact (not much) which I AM HOPING will resolve when played on television. Have not had time to burn the DVD yet so ultimate satisfaction not achieved but looking good so far.
BTW it took LESS THAN REAL TIME to render the video on my i7 box. This was my first render on this box and to say the least I am impressed.You apparently have some stills that you are using. I would take any event that was not the original video and do pan and crop and right click and select match output aspect.

Since no one has popped up on this one thought I might jump in. Select the audio event and the video event that you want to move together and type G (Group) As long as you do not have ‘ignore event grouping’ selected they will now operate as a group.
BTW did you get your ‘text over video problem’ solved?

OK, that might account for Audacity (I don’t know if it is 64bit compatable) but would not account for the Vegas audio effects. By the way, thanks for your help on this. I can’t believe that no one else is running into this problem.

This is the first time I tried using the audio effects in 8.1. The strange thing is if I take the clip out to an external program (I use Audacity – I’m cheap) make the change and then bring it back in as a take, it does the same thing. -
I would use a script in Excalibur. However another way (maybe a little circuitous) Add an event to fill the space! Then turn on auto ripple and delete the newly added event.

Do you find that CC with the CRT works when your product is viewed on LCD or Plasma?
