Stumped on muting audio of two different clips on same timeline

On the left of the track near this (!) there is an audio mute botton. Click and will mute the track. JK

you can mute an individual clip by click/dragging at the top of the clip/event and pulling the gain all the way down.

you can mute on a track using automation, simply hitting the mute button on the track (Z) while playing back with automation enabled.

You can mute using a volume envelope and manually inputting a mute/envelope.

Second part: Didn’t understand Track Z or Automation

Third part: I tried volume envelope but it kept affecting the entire audio bus, not my individual track.

Along those same lines, the audio track I added needs to lock and move with the video I synced it to. I assume there’s an easy way to do this? Thanks!

Since no one has popped up on this one thought I might jump in. Select the audio event and the video event that you want to move together and type G (Group) As long as you do not have ‘ignore event grouping’ selected they will now operate as a group.

BTW did you get your ‘text over video problem’ solved?
