There is no way to do it without losing quality. You have to deinterlace it to convert to 24p which results in throwing away half the vertical resolution on moving objects. My favorite method is using DVFilm maker. It does give really good results.

I don’t think the Press release is wrong. They mentioned it twice in the same release.
They should offer Soundbooth as the stand alone and leave Audition in the studio. I think people would be ok with that. Kind of how Smartsound is offered. -
So far it does not have multitrack and you can not rip audio from a cd. The two most important things in my audio workflow. This sucks if they don’t add these features. Not to mention if you want to fix your 5.1 audio!!! The price for the bundle better decrease due to taking features away!! This is rediculas.

Do you have After Effects? I do all of my titles in After Effects and usally do not have that problem. I would be curious to see if that helps you.

Check to see if you have any effects on clips near the end of your timeline. Some effects like auto color correct or any of the auto color correction effects can cause this if there is extreme lighting changes on that particular clip.

I had the same problem and the reason was because I had another dvd burning software “Roxio” installed and that would take over the DVD burner. I solved it by doing a search on the Adobe forums under “can’t burn a dvd” and the answer came up. It has something to do with upper and lower filters in the system registry or something like that. I wish I had the link for you but I can not find it right now.

I have the same problems. Sometimes it does make a difference if you use different positions at least by one pixel. Example: insatead of 240 try 241. Also I have had some success using the Transform plug in effect instead of the fixed motion control and change the postion within that effect. It is in with the rest of the effect folders.

If that is the only effect on the clips you can delete one and copy and paste attributes to all the rest.

Try using progressive footage. If you need to, try deinterlacing. Progressive works best for keying. Also you can try a simple matte choker. Do you have After Effects? KeyLight is the best for Keying. There is a great tutorial from VideoCopilot.net. Under keying. Give it a look. It helped me a lot.

A few things you might want to try. Make sure you are using a widescreen SD project in Premiere. Also try rendering out upper fields first. All HDV is upper fields first. I am just guessing on the rendering upper fields first part but it can not hurt to try.
On your panning shot you can also try ficker removal.
