October 3, 2006 at 1:43 pmUse a garbage matte to isolate the person as much as you can. Then use the chroma key filter. It helps to isolate the person so you don’t have to key out as wide a range of colors.

October 3, 2006 at 3:19 pmTry using progressive footage. If you need to, try deinterlacing. Progressive works best for keying. Also you can try a simple matte choker. Do you have After Effects? KeyLight is the best for Keying. There is a great tutorial from VideoCopilot.net. Under keying. Give it a look. It helped me a lot.

I’ve been having similar results. However, I have found that After Effects works best for keying.
Good Luck!

October 6, 2006 at 2:13 pmHi,
I have been using a stand alone App called Ultra by Serious Magic. It works like a charm. Probaly not the solution you were looking for but its an option that I recommend if you are going to be dong a bunch of key work.
Otherwise, I would go with After Effects.
