  • Thanks for the tip. I just might have one tucked away in the garage somewhere. But now whether i still have BNC to RCA converters is another story. 😉

  • The deck is a JVC Super VHS ET, no TBC, and highest quality via the S-video cable.

  • i just got the Digit Now Video Capture thing, and it’s squirrelly. The directions are poorly written, though i was able to capture directly in QuickTime, but it defaults to 16×9 (not good for VHS), and there’s some magenta discoloration on the top third of the screen.

i might be returning this, unless i can figure out how to at least get rid of that discoloration. i was able to see the video on an OSB screen…and it didn’t have the discoloration, but i couldn’t choose the digit now card as a source, but it did show up on screen…so i maybe i just need to do it that way? do any of you have advice for another option? this seems like it should be easier.

Thanks, Mads! I’ll send a note to Adobe as well. I do see the cart icon in PP once i’ve dragged those clips to my timeline, so guessing i’ll be charged somehow now that they’re already on my timeline. If so…i think that’s kinda sneaky of them, though i do understand about not getting everything for “free”…even with a CC subscription for the past 6 years. 😉

January 21, 2022 at 6:40 am in reply to: No more iTunes into Premiere?

    I found my workaround:

I went back to my older computer that was running an older version of iTunes…one that would still allow me to burn a CD! I burned the CD, which created aiff files going to the CD, then imported back from the CD and voila! I could use those aiff files easily in Premiere! Whew…

    Hi Tim,

Nope…i never got a resolution. It’s weird…the music clips don’t really SOUND like they are crushed at the peaks all that much, but i’m just assuming when their waveforms look like that, they’ve got to be at least a little sub-par. You might try Paul’s reply (from 5 years ago), but it doesn’t seem to affect the actual importing level, rather only modifying the level once it’s in the bin.
