And what format and codec are you selecting when rendering.

And how long into the rendering process did this error
popped up.

Im sure the several issues you are having will be cleared
up once you upgrade to Sony Vegas 8.0c….
Except for the DivX and Xvid issue Mike pointed out.

You need to provide more indepth info of your worklow?
What format you have on the timeline?
What avi format you rendered to?
etc….

Seems you may have some codecs corrupted….
Try running the check disk utility and hope it
clears up those nagging errors…thats what its there for.
Go to your start menu and select run, when the prompt
comes up type in chkdsk c:/f , another prompt will come
up telling you some scheduling info, then you type y
in caps lock and then restart your system.

The core of your problem lies simply in the
fact that those picture resolutions are too large
to be working with in vegas.
You need to use a image editor and reduce the
size(resolution) of these images first before placing
them in vegas…..
You can do a quick search in this forum for past posts
that covered the topic of reducing images for vegas.

Have you double checked your audio render settings?
By going into the custom menu in the render as
window and selecting the audio tab…make sure that
include audio is ticked and you have your format selected.

If you are exporting those files natively…
Rendering out as AVI-PAL DV would be it.
When you see “no recompression required” when rendering,
that is good, it means the video is not being
reprocessed. This is a wonderful feature called
smart rendering.

The thing now is, what is your final project destined for?

Simply create a video track above your video clip…
Then go to the media generator and select text
then drag the default text preset to that video track
and making it equal length with your video….Then type in
your text, configure it, and you are good to go.
