When im not using Magic Bullet Frames in after effects,
i use VASST Celluloid in Vegas, to convert my footage
to 24p….But do so only when i want to avoid that rank video
look and give my projects a more organic/film feel.

Am I overlooking something really simple?
Probably…All your source footage (those captured on the laptop).
need to also be on the desk top. Additionally, it can be
tricky using a flash drive….but when vegas prompts that
the source files are missing, you can point vegas to
where they are located at each prompt, or just do a replace
(right clicking on the blank media) and then select the specific
footage for each. I hope all that is clear…lol

Yeah, Once you see that checkered board background of
any clip you have on the timeline…thats a comfirmation
that it has an alpha-channel embedded.

That beautiful Super slow-mo you are looking for is not
possible in vegas.
For that, your source footage would have had to be filmed
at a high frame-rate or otherwise, using Re-visionFX Twixtor
would be the closest thing….unfortunately for Vegas users,
its only available as a plugin for after effects and others.

Don’t blame the tool…you are the one doing something or
have something on the time line thats causing that.
Theo asked you an important question…added to that,
what video format/s do you have on the timeline?

Toggle with the new Glint filter you should
get exactly what you are looking for….and even
without the need for keyframing.

Don’t think you have any setting wrong. If you get
a more pristine output from TmpGenc during a particular
workflow….work with that.

You weren’t specific as to when or under what task Vegas is crashing.
But still anyway, yes there are a few instability and bug issues that will have to be ironed out soon in updates.
