Alpha Channel question
I need an uncompressed AVI (I know, an oxymoron) or MOV with alpha to re-encode as Flash with Alpha. My source clip is a greenscreen talking head. I make sure that my source media on the timeline has the alpha premultiplied selected. After I encode the AVI or MOV file, I can drag the output file to a Vegas timeline and I get the checkerboard background. Is this a confirmation that I have a media file with alpha?

Yeah, Once you see that checkered board background of
any clip you have on the timeline…thats a comfirmation
that it has an alpha-channel embedded.Steve Rhoden
