Help! I have Vegas pro 9 installed on 2 computers, a laptop and a desktop. I’ve captured a bunch of clips in the laptop and the project opens just fine there. I tried to also save the project to a flash drive and open it in the desktop, but my clips aren’t there. Am I overlooking something really simple?

Probably…All your source footage (those captured on the laptop).
need to also be on the desk top. Additionally, it can be
tricky using a flash drive….but when vegas prompts that
the source files are missing, you can point vegas to
where they are located at each prompt, or just do a replace
(right clicking on the blank media) and then select the specific
footage for each. I hope all that is clear…lol

Vegas saves the drive letter for the media with the project. If you want to work on a project across two or more machines, you have to ensure that the drive letters for the media are the same. Otherwise, as Steve said, you need to search for media every time you use the project which is a waste of time.
