Try placing the cursor at the end of the clip on the timeline, then you click and drag the end of the clip (extending it to 20 seconds) and see, then lets know what happen.

But then again Greg, If you had no intention to upgrade to Version 9
you should have just used it as your trial, not any of your major
work……Unfortunately there is no way you gonna get it open in
Vegas 8.

Creating such a task in vegas is not really possible….you can
try Mike’s suggestion or try by hunting online to get a
condensation footage (with an alpha channel or green screen)and then
composite it over his face or If you have After Effects, use it…As you can see, tasks that seems simple are not simple at all….and here is where you put your creativity to the test Sean.

From what i see the window could be simply hidden behind the preview
window or some other panel….drag away all the panels, im sure you will see it behind one of them, then you can place them back as you desire.

Wish i could help….Personally i never use Pro Titler, i
achieve all my creative results using just the basic titling
generator.

Whatever toolbar or tab isn’t visible its quite easy to put
back in place with a keen eye and patience….I could be more helpful
if you could post a snapshop of the specific area giving the trouble
for several reasons.

No need to use the pan crop tools in vegas or any cropping first.
Just highlight the video event you are working on and just drop
the Mercalli filter on it, select from a long list of
presets what you want or toggle to your preference and then
click the analysis button. You can Then Ram preview the results before
you render.

Try also to uninstall the present lagarith codec you have and
download a new version….But why are you rendering using the lagarith
codec for something destined for youtube?

Had that once ..all i did was just run the check disk utility
on the problem drive to fix file errors etc. and restart and
everything was fine.
