Why dont you render out fro AE using the ‘Quicktime PNG” format…Your file size will be much smaller while preserving your alpha channel.

Firstly, the problem lies with the device (HD PVR)you are using to capture your footages…And you didnt mention what you were playing the finished project back thru or what format you rendered it in

NO no….3 and a half minutes shouldnt take so long…unless its being rendered on a Dinosaur computer.
Simple set the render mode to good and make sure no other footage
is lingering on the timeline beyond where your editing stopped.Steve Rhoden
