I don’t like exporting stills. I prefer to razor the clip, then copy and paste another version of the second part on to the timeline. Use Frame Hold on In Point to create a freeze frame. Then you can use the original second part to continue on at any point.

Keep the audio to no higher than zero (use the master volume meters in the audio mixer). Average of about -6dB should do the trick.

You could just crop the top and bottom, or, there is a title template for widescreen bars. Just drop it on top and you are done.

Yes. There is a reason.

The material that started out as DV AVI will not be any different, but there are materials, like photographs, that will not look as good if you encode to DV AVI before transcoding to MPEG2.

Is it important? Not usually. Not for most people. But if you want to avoid that one generation of loss, then encode directly from the timeline using the original material, and not the DV AVI it was encoded to for preview purposes.

Many people prefer to export a DV AVI and then let Adobe Encore do the transcoding.

Most people just connect a Monitor or a TV up while editing to check colors and brightness. If you connect the camera up to both the PC (firewire) and the TV (A/V out), you will have an easier time editing.

Sorry. I found them. I did a search and missed them. But when I looked in the directory, there they were. Sorry about that. My error.

ASLFoundation is the only one marked as 1.5.1 – the others are 1.5.0

It is a bit strange. It says it was created on March 2, 2005 at 12:55:03 AM and yet it was modified February 9, 2005

The build number is S243 – 2/9/2005

There must be differences between the US version and whatever version you guys have. I don’t have those files.

And by the way, I said to get rid of all of the Premiere Pro 1.5 folders. You got rid of one. How about the directory here:

“C:/Documents and Settings/Steven Gotz/Application Data/Adobe/Premiere Pro/1.5” (using your name of course)

No need to erase. Just select the color with the magic wand tool, and then hit the delete key. But to do that, it can not be the background, as I understand it. So you copy the background to a new layer and then delete the background.

Copy/Paste should work, but you should have been able to see the same sequences in the imported bins when you imported the old project.
