The cards could only have a percentage of the shortcuts on them for people who add their own all the time. And I imagine many of the beta testers are in that category. So perhaps when asked, they said not to bother printing them? I don’t really know, but that is one plausible answer.

The asterisk key on the numeric keyboard (not above the 8). Play the timeline, tap the asterisk key. When you stop the clip the markers will be there.

You could have done one of two things. The size is controlled by the Scale parameter of the Motion effect that is applied to every clip by default. Just scale it down.
You could have done that automatically if you had set your preferences to “Scale Clips to Project Dimensions…”.

The timeline allows you to set opacity keyframes, but the Effect Controls Window is where the rest are set.

Just listen to the music on the track and tap the asterisk key on the numeric keyboard on the beat. Then set up the video to have the clap (pat?) occur at the time of the asterisk.
