You guys are lucky if it works for you. My PC is only 3GHz and I often have problems with capturing. So I use Cineform Aspect HD instead. That way I get a chance to capture M2T, review it, and only convert to Cineform AVI those files that I plan on using.

I know how to make it do that on purpose for a few video drivers. Can you tell who makes the video card? Or in your case, the chips? nVidea? Radeon?
Is there a place to uncheck “Full Screen Video”?

The settings are in the drivers for the display. You need to set it up to extend your windows desktop to that monitor. Right click on the Windows wallpaper and select properties, then Settings.

Anybody willing to switch to FCP because Adobe does not want to ruin current sales by encouraging people to wait for the next revision was probably going to convert anyway.
They don’t tell us because if they say they are going to do “A”, “B” and “C”, and then they realize they can not get “B” done in time, they know wveryone will complain more about that than they do about the secrecy.

In Premiere you should create a standard PAL DV project, either 4:3 or widescreen depending on your footage.
In After Effects, create your comps the same way. Or just drop the footage on the new comp button and it will create the comp at the right size and duration for you.
When exporting, you need to use Video for Windows and use the Microsoft DV codec.

Either way. It just saves a little time using one of the audio tracks with the video, and then export the rest one at a time by turning the tracks on and off as needed.
