Exactly why XDCAM HD is preferable for most of our workflows at the moment, but P2 would certainly fit for our drama shoots.

I think if Panny had the opportunity to put out these cards much cheaper they would. This camera could conceivably “bury” most HDV cameras if the media was cheaper.

IBC starts next week and manufacturers tend to have announcements at big shows like this, add in the fact that the 24p implementation apparently isn’t very difficult and the JVC is now available and hopefully there should be some news from our friends in Cupertino.

If you have digital desktop on, then preview doesn’t work, if you switch it off it should work – it does on our system

Absolutely right, for me it’s very good How about Motion? It’s not a plugin, but it does a good roundtrip!

The HDV output has to be rendered to tape before it records, it won’t play in real time. Also do you have the camera set to HDV record?
