Hello all, I have been trying to find a solution to edit my upcoming footage that I hope to shoot in 24p on the JVC-HD100.

I have heard rumors that the lumiereHD program could handle this, but all I could find was a press release stating that version two which is unreleased could capture the source video.

Does anybody have any insight regarding 24p capture and the JVC-HD100? I don’t need to edit in 24p just somehow get the footage into FCP. Any advice would be fantastic.

    Thanks in advance.

I dont even think Lumiere supports that cam, does it? HDVxDV is promising support soon.

IBC starts next week and manufacturers tend to have announcements at big shows like this, add in the fact that the 24p implementation apparently isn’t very difficult and the JVC is now available and hopefully there should be some news from our friends in Cupertino.

I could be wrong of course……

you can grab the footage with intermediate codec then convert the clips with cinema tools at 24 or 25 or whatever you need (but you loose timecode )
    thats what I’m testing
