I really like to create my text in Motion because of all of the behaviors that can quickly animate the text if I need animation. It looks really good.

I always edit my project and get it where I like it. I then key the footage and add the background behind it in FCP. Then I export out the final video. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

Create your nest by selecting your items and then go up to Sequence, Nest Items. Then select the end or beginning of the nest like you would if you where adding any type of dissolve. Go up to Effects, Video Transitions, Wipe, Gradient Wipe.

I find the easiest way to do it is, create the Motion project file that you want. Then open up the template. In Motion you can have more then one project open at a time. Make sure you have the project pane or timeline open on both. Move one over so you can see both at the same time and drag the contents of the Motion template into the project file you want. Motion will convert the frame rate for you. You will need to resize a little. I find it is easiest to get everything in one group and change the size of the one group.
