I don’t know how to insert a text over a video.
All the texts that I have inserted has a solid color as background.thanks

Use the Boris Title 3d generator that comes with FCP.

I really like to create my text in Motion because of all of the behaviors that can quickly animate the text if I need animation. It looks really good.
