chromakey workflow
Looking for general advice on a chromakey workfow. I’m always debating whether I should set up my timeline of just keyed footage and then export it as an Animation and then start a new sequence and add BG material to that, or simply to insert the BG in the original sequence. I “unrender” before exporting. Any suggestions, pros, cons would be appreciated. I shoot in DVCProHD and key with Primatte PRO. I dont have any peripheral hardware for my quadcore.

I always edit my project and get it where I like it. I then key the footage and add the background behind it in FCP. Then I export out the final video. Hope this helps. Best of luck.
