    Yes,
I have the same problem also…..
and also, I see that preview quality in Blackmagic project is locked to 1/1, and can’t be changed……

I think there is a problem in communication between BMD and CS5….

May 12, 2010 at 2:44 pm in reply to: WHY can I not get a truly raw render?

I had the same issue with loosing resolution in output files, and here is my story:

Upgrade both Premiere and Media Encoder to latest versions, and render with MAXIMUM RENDER QUALITY….

When exporting progressive footage from Premiere to Media Encoder Yu MUST make custom SEQUENCE which is PROGRESSIVE (NO FIELDS), because if you export progressive footage from default interlaced sequence, this thing with deinterlacing is happening….

Try, and you will see a big difference…..

  • Best way is to go uncompressed…..I don’t know for any losless codec for avi….maybe photojpg or highband h264 in quicktime can work for you….

Make sure that if you export progressive footage make custom progressive sequence (default Premiere sequences are interlaced) for your format specs and resolution.
After that, export in animation, h264 or photojpeg format for best quicktime quality….

    I hope this helps….

    Hi!
First, make one custom sequence in Premiere, which will be
Progressive. All default sequences are interlace, and this is
Making a big problem to progressive workflow in Premiere and Media Encoder.
With custom made progressive sequence, you linked project in
    Encore will be progressive, too…

That is too big, then what is the point of h264.try to play with beatrates until you get best result

    Hi,

I have this problem when exporting also.

First of all, upgrade Premiere and Media Encoder to 4.2 versions.

If your output is progressive, your source sequence must be progressive, too, otherwise you will have this “deinterlace” effect on your output file….

I had terrible problems, until I find out what is going on…

No, we don’t have sync gen…but problem solved.

When capturing from digibeta, I put SYNC on VCR switch to SYNC. When recording to digibeta, I put SYNC to INPUT VIDEO, and everything is perfect….
