Sata3 ? Seems at 750MBs you saturated the thunderbolt 1 port no?

Not sure what sata3 has to do with it ?

Still think TB2 will be the bottleneck if you filled the 24bays with ultrastars and connected them to a 6 (now 12) GB Areca raid card.

Nice setup though. I do like the netstors we have.

What were you getting from the Mac mini ?

  • If it is Highpoint I’d replace it going fwds.

Am sure its just a SAS HBA the ES needs yes?

Areca in the Helios I’d suggest.

The Highpoint will need a thunderbolt driver. Mosts hba’s do.

No I know where the FPS is. it takes a bit for it to go from 0fps upto a constant 24

It ramps up.. every Resolve I’ve worked on does.

    The clips so short.

If I do it on a longer clip it works.

    Mac Pro 6,1 Late 2013
    Processor 3.5 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon E5 with 16GB
    OSX 10.9.1
    Resolve Version: 10.1.0.021
    2 X D500 3Gig Ram

Shots so short it doesn’t get upto speed :-/

Also the Blurs are Blur > Sharpen > Blur .. kit misleading. Plus they are matted.

Where do we measure the FPS from ?
