new Proavio 8 bay RAID array

Their stuff generally supports both Mac and Windows, which you can see in the FAQs…but yes, some more information about specific configs would be interesting….

Sorry, putting information up as I have it.
Test was done with SATA 4TB drives, in RAID 5. Using a 12G card on an older Mac Pro doesn’t make much sense as the older machines don’t utilize PCIe3 expansion slots, like the HPZ 8000 series machines do, in that scenario.
You will definitely achieve more than 1500MB/s with the 12G card.
