YOU ALWAYS NEED to high lite the region you are going to render down, also when your render window comes up there is a box that should be checked stating render down loop region only ? have it checked

Hey Tim I’m not positive on this one,
have you tried to render just the audio, say as a wave file, just to see that it does render ?Render as:
Sony AVC(.mp4,.m2ts adn .avc)what exactly are you rendering it as ? .MP4 ?
if so as long as you have your tracks not muted as you say you do, I don’t get it
It seems to me I had this problem once a long long time ago, & I think I ended up needing a AC3 driver, I just cant rememberSystem:
Format mpeg-2 transport stream (.m2ts)if you are rendering for DVD as a MPEG-2 file
then I render just the video by its self then I render the audio by it’s self BUT AS A WAVE FILE which is the BEST audio render you can obtain, then you can take your Video track drag & put it into SONY DVD ARCHITECT, double click on it, then ADD your audio on the AUDIO TRACK next to your VIDEO track IN DVD ARCHITECT
make sure on your project properties tab in IN DVD ARCHITECT that you change the audio setting from AC3 to PCM which is basically A WAVE FILEI don’t know all your details so good luck

when you render, go into the custom button on your render tab settings, once clicked, then under the audio tab make sure the check box that says include audio is checked.

You know the mode you shot in, if you shot in 1920×1080 then choose this setting, if you shot in progressive then choose 1920x1080p if you shot in 1920x1080i then choose interlaced.
then when it is time to edit, before you drop your footage into the Vegas timeline, open up your project properties, & at the top right of the properties window is a little yellow icon, that once you scroll over it, it will say ( MATCH MEDIA SETTINGS) click it, then it will open up a windows explorer window that you can browse to locate the files you just uploaded, click on one of your files you just uploaded & Vegas automatically will match ALL your project properties to your media properties, then drag ALL your files into Vegas.

Mike thank you for the Spyder 3 Elite to do it right suggestion.
John Rofrano recommended it in another post I read about.
OK here goes another $200.00 L.O.L. -
I have the Panasonic HMC 150, it shoots in the AVCHD format
I have Vegas pro 9.0.c & it works GREAT, you can edit in AVCHD or you can use a program like NEO SCENE from CINEFORM to convert your AVCHD to CINEFORM AVI
CANNON is doing very well with their CAMERA that takes stills & Video, sorry I forget the model number, it has interchangeable lenses, my buddy has one, & it looks killer ! -
Thank you ! I watched this twice, & I will try this,
so your saying that this will keep my render looking the same on you tube as in the Vegas preview window, right.
this tutorial did not talk about exporting to DVD ? or TV ? delivering a high quality file, like AVI to a television network.so I’m just wondering where this difference of gamma & contrast really come from, RENDERING or CALIBRATION of monitor ?
I have a $300.00 LG LCD monitor, not good enough ?
is there any kind of way or trick that what you see in the Vegas preview window is what you getOR should you not color correct or do your final level control in the Vegas preview window ?
IS THERE A RECOMMENDATION ?
THANKS to ALL -
have you tried to open up your project with the Vegas back up file ? Vegas makes a back up session file every time you do an edit, did you know that ?
open up Vegas then go select file, then before you try to open the back up session file you must first hit the tab at the bottom of your pop up window that will let you select files of type, select ALL files then you will see your backup file of that session, look carefully It’s there if you don’t select all files you wont see the back up session file, I hope this works for you.ALSO this just happened to me for the first time last week. ? WHY ?

on the clip itself, to the far right, there are three icons click on the top one,now you are in to the properties of the noise texture, then you will need to pull down the alpha chanel on the blue ,which will be chanel A, you will need to add key frames at the bottom where it sais noise texture, it starts with one diamond key frame, go to the end of the clip and change the progress slider, all the sliders are automatable, if you dont add key frames with different timings at the begining of the clip and at the end, it wont move, you have to automate it
