    Hello,

I am using Movie Studio 10. My box is HP Windows 7 64bit i7-2600.

The problem I am having is my video is rendering with no audio.

Start HD PVR output file format .m2ts

    Project properties:

    Video:
    Template Custom(1920×1080,29.970fps)
    Field Order None(progressive scan)
    Pixel aspect raito 1.000(square)
    Frame rate 29.970
    Full resoulation quality best
    Deinterlace method Blend fields
    Adjust source media checked

    Audio:
    Master Bus Stereo
    Sample rate 48,000
    Bit depth 16
    resample and stretch quality best

    Render as:

    Sony AVC(.mp4,.m2ts adn .avc)

    custom template:

    Video:
    Include video checked
    video format avchd
    frame size hd (1920×1080)

    profile high
    entropy coding cabac
    frame rate 29.970
    Pixel aspect raito 1.000
    bit rate 15,000,000

    Audio:
    Include audio checked
audio format dolby digital ac-3 stuido
    sample rate 48000
    bit rate 128000
    audio coding mode 2/0 (l,r)
    automatic gain control checked
save data in intel byte order checked

    System:

    Format mpeg-2 transport stream (.m2ts)

I have already tried the MainConcept avc/aac but the quality is not nearly as good.

I have used this similar process before on my older box and it worked fine.

On my new box there is no audio, the video is fantastic.

I have no other ideas to try and am frustrated behond belief

    Any suggestions would be appreciated

    Thanks

    Are the audio tracks muted?

    Daniel,

No they are not muted. When play it from Vegas the sound is fine. When I render it as mp4 the sound is fine

when you render, go into the custom button on your render tab settings, once clicked, then under the audio tab make sure the check box that says include audio is checked.

Hey Tim I’m not positive on this one,
have you tried to render just the audio, say as a wave file, just to see that it does render ?

    Render as:
    Sony AVC(.mp4,.m2ts adn .avc)

what exactly are you rendering it as ? .MP4 ?
if so as long as you have your tracks not muted as you say you do, I don’t get it
It seems to me I had this problem once a long long time ago, & I think I ended up needing a AC3 driver, I just cant remember

    System:
    Format mpeg-2 transport stream (.m2ts)

if you are rendering for DVD as a MPEG-2 file
then I render just the video by its self then I render the audio by it’s self BUT AS A WAVE FILE which is the BEST audio render you can obtain, then you can take your Video track drag & put it into SONY DVD ARCHITECT, double click on it, then ADD your audio on the AUDIO TRACK next to your VIDEO track IN DVD ARCHITECT
make sure on your project properties tab in IN DVD ARCHITECT that you change the audio setting from AC3 to PCM which is basically A WAVE FILE

I don’t know all your details so good luck

Well found a workaround(I guess). If I highlight everything in the project by dragging the cursor above the timeline, which makes a loop region?, and then render like that the audio comes out fine :/

Using the same Sony AVC(.mp4,.m2ts adn .avc) and rendering to .mp4 instead of .m2ts I do not have to do the hightlight for the audio to come out.

Whats even more strange, on my old XP box, I do not have to highlight anything for the .m2ts render audio to come out.

    Very strange

YOU ALWAYS NEED to high lite the region you are going to render down, also when your render window comes up there is a box that should be checked stating render down loop region only ? have it checked
