As Goldman said, you would need Invigorator to get the look you are after. Or a 3D program.

When exporting your movie you have to choose a codec that supports an Alpha Channel. QT Animation set to Millions of collors plus does for instance.

Hi,
First I would advise you to upgrade your Invigorator version. 3.0.2 is way too old.
I don’t think it can recognize illustrator files older then version 8. So just, save your ai file to this version and give it a try. But think about upgrading!Salut.

Hi,
In the Import file window after selecting your first file, right under the window that says “Import As Footage” you should check the “Targa Sequence” box (In your case) then hit OK.
In your AE project window you drag your sequence to the comp icon (Left to the trash button) and you are done.

You could easily do it if you draw a circle using the elliptical mask tool, add a vertex using the Add Vertex tool as near as possible to another existing vertex then select both vertex, right click and uncheck “Closed”.
