Okay, I search the archives and found a thread (Feb 26, 2004) with a golf ball map and instructions how to CC sphere it to get a 3D golf ball look.

    https://forums.creativecow.net/cgi-bin/new_read_post.cgi?forumid=2&postid=521513&archive=T

    https://forums.creativecow.net/cgi-bin/new_read_post.cgi?univpostid=521513&forumid=2&postid=521513&pview=t&archive=T

After some levels tweaking on the golf ball map and adding a client logo to the map, I am very please with the results with the thread’s recommendations….Good looking 3D Golf Ball with the client’s logo on the golf ball’s face.

    ————However—————-

The dimples on this golf ball don’t refect the light/cast shadows like the dimples on a real-world golf ball…the “dimples” on my 3D golf ball are just little gray circles and don’t cast shadows in their “pits” when I rotate the light around or rotate the golf ball on the XYZ axis. The dimples are flat and not sunk in like golf ball dimples should be…

Anyway to fix this so the the dimples on my sphere golf ball will cast light/shadow correctly, and not be flat little circles when I rotate the golf ball on the sphere’s x & y axis and rotate the light.

Any help would be greatly appreciated…

    Thanks
…an you guys & gals ROCK!

    Hi,

As Goldman said, you would need Invigorator to get the look you are after. Or a 3D program.
Check my site for an upcoming “Creative Cow Master Tools Series” product called “InvigoMany”. It was created to specifically help colleagues in your situation.

    Hi
    @Serge
I’m looking forward to your product.
Has every project its own video tutorial? Is the product also useful for beginners?

Yeah! Serge’s website is back! 😀

As for KTTC-Red, get Invigorator and go to this site.

Best 3D models website on the net.

    Hope that helped.

    Hi julian06,

    First, thanks for your interest.

The tutorial will guide you in different chapters on how to use the product, learn from the provided ai files and projects. It will also show you how to create your own custom edges.

[julian06] “Is the product also useful for beginners?”

If you are willing to read the Invigorator/ProAnimator manual for the basic then the answer is yes.
If you would still have questions, I would of course always be happy to help you solve any issue.

    Salut.
    Serge
