I am not sure if this could work as you expect but try to add an adjustment layer, mask the area you want to alter (animate it if necessary) then apply CC Glass to your adjustment layer. Play with parameters of the plug and of course add a duplicate of your clip at the bottom.

Hi,
If your smear is wide and blury, I would rather advise you to add a lens flare then try to remove it.
In case it’s a few pixel thin smear and your shot was locked then try the CC simple wire removal. I had good result with it.
Salut.

September 14, 2006 at 3:57 pm in reply to: how would one make the pink and white background in this link?Hi,
There are many ways to create this one. Here is one:
-Create a large layer (1000 X 1000) for instance.
-Apply Venetian Blind with a transition value of (55%) and (42) width value.
-Apply Polar coordinate at (100%)interpolation value Rectangular to Polar
-Apply now the Optic Conpensation filter at around (90) for the FOV Check the RLD box and move the View Center point to where you want.Salut.

Hi,
Cicit is right.
You need to use a compressor program like Sorenson Squeeze etc…However, the most important is that your original must have an excellent quality. What you showed us was film. A no brainer to compress.
If you are using video though, you may also need to correct your colors, levels etc… Before you start compressing your footage.
The populare rule is: “Garbage in garbage out”Salut.

Hi,
Please search the archive about “Rotoscoping”. You will find all you need in there.

Yes. But! If you are really dealing with a big project I would also advise you to work with proxies as much as you can as pre-rendering 20 or more comps can lead you to a mess especially when the client or even yourself want to alter things, like timing etc…

Hi Joseph,
Sorry about that. Did you update your video card driver after installing QT? Another thing that may help is to reduce the hardware acceleration of your graphic card.
I hope this may help. Let us know.
Salut.

Hi,
Try reinstalling your video card driver. Check if there is a newer version before doing so of course.

Hi,
Here is a small example for you to play with:
https://www.nyc-visual.com/lava_lamp_4.sitLooks like this:
https://www.nyc-visual.com/Lava_Cow.movThe example is easy to understand, so I skipp the explanations for now. Let me know if you have any questions.
Just play with the different displacements of the Turbulant Displace effect located in the Adjustment layer.
Salut.
