Save manually painting it out (which will take forever and be incredibly hard to get perfect) you’re stuck with it.

If your smear is wide and blury, I would rather advise you to add a lens flare then try to remove it.
In case it’s a few pixel thin smear and your shot was locked then try the CC simple wire removal. I had good result with it.
Salut.

If you are lucky and there is actually a way to key the streaks (as to create a matte of where the streaks are), you might be able to use something to fill in the hole. That could be RE:Fill or CC wire move as Serge suggests, that could be RE:Flex Morph if the streaks are on static elements of the scene (as opposed to cause by shiny specular stuff on something moving) or nay other clean plate type tricks, tends to be a simpler problem if the camera is locked. etc —Pierre

O well. Not to worry, it isn’t really that bad, was just wondering if something could be done about it. I found another thread on which a guy recommends one of the Video Finesse Premiere plugins, but haven’t tried it.I’ll just live with it and see what I can do about preventing it in future.
thanks all
Daniel.
