    Hey,

Please send me your animated aep including your object. It would be easier for me to see what went wrong and maybe find an alternative.

    Hey Roland,

    Nice to see you around.:-)

If I got you right you can’t for any reason map the video on your Invigorator object. Right?

If this is the case and you would like to only provide a movie of a rotating 3D frame (In an AEP) and let your client place a movie in this frame. The easiest way would be to use the tracking feature of Invigorator pro 4.0.

Have a look at the following movie and let me know if it’s what you are after: https://www.nyc-visual.com/Video_Frame.mov

The red screen is a solid layer that your client would easilly substitute in the aep with his movie. No matte no hassle. If this is what you want just let me know and I will guide you step by step and send you an example.

    Salut.

  • Glad to hear it worked out.

As I said, animate Set1 instead of the camera. This should be more easier.

    Hi,

The KPT Plug-in “FraxFlame” for PS produces this too. You then import your ps file into AE and distort it with Turbulent Displace or any other effect.

    I have a tut here:https://www.creativecow.net/show.php?page=/articles/hamad_serge/sci_fi1/index.html

    Hope this may help.

  • Hi,

[Joseph M. Morgan] “The stitching has me stumped.”

I could better help if knew how you created your ball. Did you use a map or a 3D object?

If you are using a texture map, make sure you change the black soccer parts to white then use this new map as a transparency map.

If you get stuck let me know.

[Joseph M. Morgan] “Are those soccer balls zax balls in aep files? If not, how do I use them?”

Do you mean the InvigoMany balls? If so then, Yes. All you would need to do is open the aep and animate your soccerball. It is made out of single faces so moving the elements apart will open the stiches easily.

    Salut.

  • Hi Joseph,

Using Invigorator Pro or Classic you should move your object towards the camera until you get inside of your ball.
If you have the pro version, import a 3D ball as Justin mentioned. Just try to find better ones then in his link unless you have a 3D program to add some polys.
Also, make sure, in case you are using the object for commercial purposes that you notify the owner.

[Joseph M. Morgan] “but I do need small gaps in the creases and stitching across the seams, in 3D”

You could create those gaps using a transparency map in case you are using a completely closed 3D ball or you import the object in a 3D program and make some cuts.
Let me know what Invigorator version you have and I will help you with that.

Justin referred to creating a 3D ball with CC-Sphere. Sorry this won’t work for you though as you need to get inside of the sphere. CC sphere can’t do that.
You could try the render “Inside”/”outside” feature but I don’t think this could work in your case.

    Salut.

    Hey Dan,

    I love this one! Thanks.

I used to use shatter as it has the ability to differently color a layer back face but it is a limited option.

    Thanks again.

    Salut.

    Hi,

What version are you using? Do you see your object in the Set-Up window?

Send me your artwork if you like (serge_01 at msn dot com)

    Salut.
