You created a NEW account, and did not update your pre-existing one. Our mechanism looks at new and updated accounts in different ways.
That is why your account got thrown onto moderation, as we moderate all new accounts. Why? Because the new tactic by many spammers is to come into a site, create an account, make a post, get the account turned on and then they go ape across your forums. We had it happen a bunch of times in the last two years or so and so we do not now automatically turn on all new accounts right away. We watch the account to make sure that they are legitimate posts and what kind of posts a person makes. Then we activate it and take it off moderation.
But if you had wanted your account turned on quicker, it would have been a better idea to update your old account, not create a new one.

Hello Rob,
About a month ago, you edited your account and changed the name that you had been using since you originally signed up. Every time anyone changes their name or their email address, our mechanism automatically puts the account in moderation and sends a reactivation notice to their address given; the notice contains a link that they must click on. The reason we do this is due to California’s strict opt-in/anti-spam laws. We also do it to catch spammers who make one good post and then change their name and/or email and try to put their free laptop or mail-order brides posts all across our boards.
Sorry for the inconvenience but it allows our boards to be kept as high signal as we can make them.

The bigger point is you have a fully functional system that they will test for 24 hours prior to you receiving it.”This was supposed to the way it was but the truth is my last machine from tem did not have this done at all. In fact, when I got it, it didn’t work and Abraham and I had to rebuild it ourselves.
I know we were one of the exceptions but still, it really was a bummer.
It was an internet server Xserve, so they may not do this to them.

That is a great winery — the best in our area for many wines. It is one of our favorites. When Jerry Hofmann (from our FCP forum team) came here a couple weeks or so ago, we took him to Carmody McKnight and nowhere else. We told him that “this is where the great Paso Robles wines are, so pull up a glass and let’s get cooking.”

Jerry left drunk. Kathlyn played designated driver. Me, I stumbled to the car acting like I didn’t know which key would work in the car door. It works every time, Kathlyn saw it and quickly said, “Do you mind if I drive?”
Yes, Phil is a great guy and we had fun bull-manuring with him. Jerry was quite blown away by how beautiful it is here when you get off the beaten path and get back into those canyons which are out past the Carmody McKnight vineyards.
Cowdog hates wine so we left him home. Now, if it was a trip to the Firestone-Walker Brewery, Cowdog would have been all over that one.
Next time you get down this way, Darby, call us. We are in the book.
Maybe we can get Kathlyn to play designated driver — again.

For AE instructional series, there is also the Lynda.com series. You can subscribe to it online for $25 a month and go through it at you own pace.
Also, Aharon Rabinowitz has his After Effects To the Next Level, Vol. 1 and 2, DVDs that are part of the Creative COW Master Series. They are $39 each as I recall and they are filled with lesson after lesson from one of the finest teachers on the planet. Visit the COW Store and go to the Creative COW Master Series for more. They would be a bargain at five-times the price.
For great AE books, don’t forget to look at Mark Christensen’s books, they are also very well done and full of great stuff.

Use our test post forum and play with your posts there, as you can edit things but only for the first 30 minutes or until someone responds.
When you post, you can go inside any of your posts and if it falls within the first 30 minutes and no one has replied yet, you will find an “Edit Your Post” link visible inside your posts that will be located in the same gray box that has the “View Posts” “Add a Post” and “Search Posts” links.

The only people who this means anything to are the machine-level coders of Final Cut. It doesn’t mean anything to users.
Please do not post more of this here as it is gibberish that does not help diagnose the problem except for and by the coders and they do not interact with end users directly.

You might want to read the side of the box next time where it gives the requirements, the very first one on the list is a “multicore Intel processor.” On the Adobe site they were also quite clear that CS3 required an Intel architecture. Even in their press releases — and also in their pre-release announcements as well as in the COW podcast and newsletter interviews with many of their team — they even came right out and said that the ONLY reason that they were coming back to the Mac and COULD make these tools work on the Mac, was because Apple was now on the Intel architecture.
While I agree with you that Apple makes things unduly hard on their developers and partners, I am always surprised at the number of people who will buy something without checking compatibility or requirements and then blame it on someone else.
