Could you have used a key to key out the effects when the original footage was dark?
In any case, before adding the marks, perhaps you could have grades one type of the sequence, so you only have to apply the memory to the alternate sections.
Alternatively, could you have used the scene-detect tool to break up the clip into smaller sections, and then used the grouping. It would probably be best to take this shot out into a new project to grade this way, and then bring it back in into the main project.
Also – in this case, should you be using regular marks, or dynamic marks?
Also – it is possible to select multiple marks, I think you have to hold the Shift key and drag on the timeline area. It is useful to change multiple marks to Dynamic/Marks, etc.

This sounds like a 23.976/24 problem. There’s a quick way to check this.
Set the video monitoring to 24sF, see if you have the problem. If yes, set it to 23.98sF (leave the play speed at 24 — Resolve will still play it at the native speed of 23.976).
Once you have identified this, you might need to slow down or speed up the audio to match the video playback speed.

1. You can render from your master session in source mode, and that would export all the material with handles. Alternatively, if you have a final EDL, you can create a session with handles and export this out in source mode. If you have any speed change on clips, make sure your tracking is ok before rendering it. You can see shots which have tracking by an icon on the timeline VSR.
Another way to achieve this is to use the function “Split and Add” when you add media into the media pool. You can select a bunch of EDLs, and how many handles you want. It will include all the footage required for the conform, as well as handles on each shot.
2. Yes, a new EDL will show all the grades. I’m assuming you didn’t go into “Batch Unlink” or local versions, else the grades are stored local to the timeline, and don’t carry over to new EDLs. If you did, then look into Colortrace and create a new project to copy the grades to.

The color page offline doesn’t support play currently. It is possible to play them on the Conform page.
I believe pressing the “Stop” on the control surface will update it to the matching frame.

You need to connect the UI monitor to the GT120 in Slot 2. Also, please install the NVIDIA driver for Q4000/Mac from their website. If you update to 10.6.6, you need to re-install the NVIDIA driver.

1. In the Session Menu, you have a “ALL/Color/PTZR” entry. This controls which lists are marked when you press Mark/Dynamic. There is a button on the Resolve control surface for this as well. So you probably want to leave it on Color.

Yeah – I have a Cubix where I am running two GTX285 and a Red Rocket. It’s not quite spec but it works fine.

Speed change, including negative speed changes should work just fine. If you have an EDL which does not work correctly, please send it to our support at davincihelp (at) blackmagic-design, and we’ll investigate it.
Please let us know which event/timecode range is not working correctly. If you can narrow it down to a few events, that would be ideal 🙂
Thanks!

1) KEYFRAMING node values
How do i go about keyframing a value? Let’s say i want the value of 4 on frame 100 turn into value 7 on frame 120 in the same clip – how do i achieve that?– Assuming you are starting on a fresh clip
– Set the value to 4
– Go to frame 100
– Press dynamic on control surface to create a dynamic mark
– Go to frame 120
– Hit mark on control surface to create a regular mark
– Set the value to 72) KEYFRAMING windows
The tracker works really well, but i sometimes want to correct a little bit where it’s inaccurate. I have a hard time figuring out the logic of doing that in the tracker. If you have already tracked the window, and it has gone off, you would need to adjust the window position in key-frame mode for two frame position and then interpolate between them manually. So, if your clip is from frame 0-100, and the tracker starts going off a frame 80.
– Go to frame 80
– Choose Adjust Key Frame radio button
– Adjust the window for this frame (if required)
– Press Mark to create a mark point for interpolation (later)
– To go frame 100
– Adjust the window for this frame
– Press Mark to create a mark point for interpolation to the previous mark
– Press the Interpolate “Between” button3) HAND tool
Is there a way to navigate the viewer in “Color” mode, when in actual size mode? LIke pressing the space bar in Photoshop 🙂I think you are looking for the middle mouse. Press the middle mouse and drag it around to pan the image in the viewer.
Hope this helps!

When using the GT120, swap
1- GT120
2 -Cubix expansionso it should be like this:
1 – Cubix expansion
2 – GT120Also, you need to the FX4800 in Slot1 and Slot 4 I think. Slot 4 will block Slot 3, but you can still use Slot 2 for the 10G card.
