    Hi,

I have a couple of (simple) questions regarding DaVinci Resolve and i have problems finding themn in the manual which i don’t find that informative:

    1) KEYFRAMING node values
How do i go about keyframing a value? Let’s say i want the value of 4 on frame 100 turn into value 7 on frame 120 in the same clip – how do i achieve that?

    2) KEYFRAMING windows
The tracker works really well, but i sometimes want to correct a little bit where it’s inaccurate. I have a hard time figuring out the logic of doing that in the tracker.

    3) HAND tool
Is there a way to navigate the viewer in “Color” mode, when in actual size mode? LIke pressing the space bar in Photoshop 🙂

    4) GRAIN
Can you apply grain to your graded footage?

    5 OVERALL adjustment
I get the idea of the group which works fine. But is there a way of making one (or more) corrections….like a look..be on top of everyting else. To be controlled only once and affecting all clips in a time line. But with the possibility to adjust individually underneath this “look”?

Hope it makes sense and looking forward to hearing some suggestions to some of my big wonderings!

    Thankyou very much in advance!

    BR

    5:

on upper rigth corner you can choose track mode.
There you can make node that affects the whole timeline.

Other ides seem pretty good for me 🙂

    1) KEYFRAMING node values
How do i go about keyframing a value? Let’s say i want the value of 4 on frame 100 turn into value 7 on frame 120 in the same clip – how do i achieve that?

    – Assuming you are starting on a fresh clip
    – Set the value to 4
    – Go to frame 100
    – Press dynamic on control surface to create a dynamic mark
    – Go to frame 120
    – Hit mark on control surface to create a regular mark
    – Set the value to 7

    2) KEYFRAMING windows
The tracker works really well, but i sometimes want to correct a little bit where it’s inaccurate. I have a hard time figuring out the logic of doing that in the tracker.

If you have already tracked the window, and it has gone off, you would need to adjust the window position in key-frame mode for two frame position and then interpolate between them manually. So, if your clip is from frame 0-100, and the tracker starts going off a frame 80.

    – Go to frame 80
    – Choose Adjust Key Frame radio button
    – Adjust the window for this frame (if required)
    – Press Mark to create a mark point for interpolation (later)
    – To go frame 100
    – Adjust the window for this frame
    – Press Mark to create a mark point for interpolation to the previous mark
    – Press the Interpolate “Between” button

    3) HAND tool
Is there a way to navigate the viewer in “Color” mode, when in actual size mode? LIke pressing the space bar in Photoshop 🙂

I think you are looking for the middle mouse. Press the middle mouse and drag it around to pan the image in the viewer.

    Hope this helps!

    To 1.

Is there a way to only store key-frames on one or selected parameters or at least deactivate or delete the others ?
Sometimes I need to animate things differently and if there are key-frames already, it makes it hard to keep track what has been changes and what is static.

    To 2.

I love it I love it i love it 🙂
    This works soooo well..
That alone is worth buying it

    1. In the Session Menu, you have a “ALL/Color/PTZR” entry. This controls which lists are marked when you press Mark/Dynamic. There is a button on the Resolve control surface for this as well. So you probably want to leave it on Color.

thanks for the tip…i’ve been loving resolve and the only thing i miss from color (other than the larger curves and 3 way display size) is the ability to apply a final tweak to the output of all the shots…..your trick works great!

    Hey there.

Can’t find anything on this anywhere except for this post, which answered me when I had the same question fro Resolve 8 on SL – any way to hand tool the viewer in Davinci Resolve 9 on OSX Lion – right now it’s bring up the calculator/calendar, etc – Lion seems not to make provision for the Magic Mouse…
