If that doesn’t work go to preferences and then the video tab.
Set the Dynamic RAM to 0
    and then set the
GPU acceleration of video processing to OFF

If I’m understanding it right what you need to do is in your pan/crop check the button under “source” to read “Stretch to fill frame” to NO

I think we’ve all had this happen from time to time.
Could be many things but I have sometimes noticed that it will freeze at exactly the same place. Then I have removed or replaced that particular event and it would then render. So it’s possible it’s a corrupt piece of video.

    Hi Graham,
That’s a great suggestion. Works for just what I want.
Been busy editing two new shows.
    Thanks Graham.

    Hi Bob,
Are you using the plug-in “Caption Assistant” to do your closed captioning?
If so they should show up if you use the drop down next to the preview (auto) button – the icon with the grid. You should see the captioning options on that dropdown and most likely you’d use the one called CC1 Primary.
I’ve given the SCC files to a television stations (2 to be exact) and they use the .scc file. Drop frame or non drop frame is an issue so you need to know which one to use as your time format.
Using Caption Assistant also embeds the captioning in the file itself but it can not be seen just by dropping your rendered file back on the Vegas timeline.
Maybe John Rofrano will chime to the thread. He’s the master on this. I get by but do use captioning all the time for our shows.

Scattershot is fabulous. Depending on how many pictures you want to include, it can take a very long time to render but that plug in will certainly do the trick.

Not sure what the actual part problem is but there is no picture either in the eye piece or the monitor. It will record sound and it will play back already shot video from the past.

Here’s the link to the camera I purchased along with some extra batteries, etc.
PS. I don’t want to know if you have found it somewhere else for less.
