Thanks for the link to the timers. Finally got one that didn’t add tons of stuff to my browser etc. It was called “Time Tool” and does exactly what I want which was to find out about how much time it actually takes to edit a show. Hard to know otherwise since I work on them in spurts but wanted to know an approximate total time.
Thanks everyone.

I know the smart phones have these apps but I’m wanting one on my PC desktop.
The reason for timing is:Sarah thinks it takes me about 30 hours to totally edit a half hour show especially when having to view it over and over for small flaws such as a jump cut, etc and then having to render again and watch it to be sure we haven’t missed something else or that Vegas didn’t hiccup and leave me with a black flash or something.
By knowing how much time it actually takes to edit a show we can better schedule our time. That way I’ll know approximately if I have to work 8 hours a day or 12 hours a day to finish what needs to be done before we can hit the road again to do more filming.Roger Bansemer – PaintingAndTravel.com

Maybe the proper term is Time Tracker. Looking for an app outside of Vegas so I can click it to begin timing and another click to pause or stop the timing clock. I want to give myself a more accurate way to find out how much time I’ve spent editing. Some people use these apps for billing.

That check box is checked.
I’m having a difficult with RX. It will not save any changes I make when using “open copy in editor”
I’ve been emailing tec support but they can’t figure it out either.Roger Bansemer – PaintingAndTravel.com

I have read the instructions a dozen times. I actually got two events to display in the preview once but I have no idea how I did it and can’t duplicate it no matter how many times I’ve gone over the instructions.
Part of the instructions read:
Position the cursor at another point on the timeline.
Click the down arrow next to the Split-Screen View button and choose Clipboard from the menu.I don’t see where there is a “clipboard from the menu” option.
Sure would like to do this but you say Vegas12 doesn’t work??

That’s probably happening because of the way your effects are lined up.
Try putting the light effect at the beginning of your chain of effects.Roger Bansemer – PaintingAndTravel.com

I’m not finding where that check box is. Would you please tell me more specifically where to look in preferences? Thanks
