  • Lock Tracks in Place but still be able to edit them?

    Hey guys.

Is there a way to lock tracks so they stay in the same place, but you can still edit them?

I want to be able to change the start and stop points of video and cut parts of them out without changing the overall position of the clip. I use this when I have a few camera angles synced and want to switch between them without accidentally moving the track over when I only wanted to change the the start point.

There is not way to do anything to an event once it’s locked until you unlock it.

I use a composite level envelope on a track to control whether of not the track is visible. I do not try to cut or paste events to determine which camera is visible.
