It looks to me that using color corrector you might de-saturate the video and then use curves to bring the light way up.

Even though Vegas says it can do captioning, there is NO way to do it unless you use Johns Caption Assistant. It would be possible with Vegas alone if you were doing a 30 second commercial or something like that but for a show of any length Caption Assistant is a must.

We are now supplying NETA with all digital files instead of having to do the XDCam tapes.
Using MXF files in Vegas to create the file. The only way I know to put in captioning to begin with is by using John Rofranos Caption Assistant. After it’s been put in, MXF format embeds it.

PluralEyes is what you need. It takes your clips from several cameras after you’ve put them on timelines and then matches up the audio perfectly. When that’s done you’re video is lined up as well.
I use it all the time for four camera shoots and it works great unless one camera is say for instance a hundred feet away where it doesn’t pick up the audio from the rest of the cameras.

You can select the events you want to move by using the ctrl key to select and move the events.
You can use the shift key to select and move all the events from the one you choose on the left to the one on the right or visa versa.
You can use the “selection edit tool” (the one with the arrow) to hightlight the events you want to move and then move those.

A few days ago I put some MOV files on the Vegas timeline from my iPhone and after taking about 10 minutes for the images to appear in Vegas (and there were only a dozen short clips)I couldn’t do a thing with them.
Looks like I have the same problem. Hopefully someone will post an answer.

I dragged several of my mxf rendered files that had captioning in the project into a new timeline and no captioning showed up in the preview window. The CC1 primary check box was selected. I do see them on the timeline.

Thanks John, I knew it was in a plug-in somewhere but sometimes get lost.
I got a small sponsor (our local art center) for our show. I’ve locked my intro files and tags in place for the correct time and now they all need to be moved down the timeline a bit.
