Drag Select clips?
Posted by Ryan Roberts on May 10, 2013 at 4:26 pmI guess I’m just used to being able to click and drag over clips to select them, but in Vegas, this sets the region to be rendered/played and sets playback to loop. Is there a way to drag select clips?

May 10, 2013 at 7:40 pmYou can select the events you want to move by using the ctrl key to select and move the events.
You can use the shift key to select and move all the events from the one you choose on the left to the one on the right or visa versa.
You can use the “selection edit tool” (the one with the arrow) to hightlight the events you want to move and then move those.Roger Bansemer – PaintingAndTravel.com

That’s what I would do. Use the Selection Edit Tool to make your event selection as Roger suggested.

May 11, 2013 at 3:08 pmThis is kind of hard to explain I guess… You know how you can select a bunch of files in Windows (on the desktop for example, by clicking somewhere, not on any files, and then dragging the mouse over all the files you want to select? That’s what I want to do. Right now, clicking and dragging over all the clips I want to select in the Vegas timeline will create a new rendering region. Just open a project in Vegas and drag over some clips and you will see what I mean.
I don’t want to drag to set the rendering region though, I want to drag to select a bunch of clips (the way dragging works on Windows desktop. Maybe this just can’t be done with Vegas?

Are you using the Selection Edit Tool?

because it works exactly like selecting files on the Windows desktop.~jr
