    “Cloth->Expert->Sub Sampling
    Highly dependent upon cloth parameters”

It is dependent on the actual mesh. With cloth collision Tri-poly and N-gons are extremely difficult to perdict movement. Its also important to keep the polygons similar in size or the collision tend to flicker.
The EPS size is going to a large factor and its a good idea to play with it. A good placeto start is by measureing the distance between the points of the smallest polygon.

The tutorial on CMIVFX (not free) is really good and explains all the options very well.
The help in the manual is really good too.

The blur should only be in the PSD. Also it is most likely in the Channels not the layers.

Personally for DOF in stills I get the best results by rendering a Depth Pass and using a lens blur on that pass in Photoshop you get far more control and it renders faster. I think there is a tutorial for this at the c4dcafe.com

Boole object place both the objects in it. A subtract B means the top object will subtract the bottom object.
Boole objects tend to be pretty processor intensive and you may cause some speed issues or even crash cinema depending how much geometry is there is.

Make a plane and place it where is gives a nice reflection sometimes it helps to give the plane a material with a high luminace setting.

  • I assume your grass is made with the hair module. You can use the wind from the particles drop down menu to effect the hair. Look in the forces tab of the HAIR attributes and you can see that you can include and exclude different forces.

Looping is different depending what you want to loop it also takes a whole new direction with the NLA that came with release 11. There is a option when looking at the timeline in the KEY menu to CYCLE that will duplicate your key frames down the timeline… you can also set up repeating motions with expresso or non linear animation. You can also loop most of the noise in the textures…. and so on.

You need to hold the key down while moving the mouse. And it will swap back to your previous tool when you release.

1 move viewport (same as top right)
    2 zoom viewport
    3 rotate viewport
    4 move object
    5 scale object
    6 rotate object
    7 scale modeling
    8 free selection tool
9 Live selection tool (most common selection)
    10 the rectangle selection tool

Add a composting tag to the object with the DR and in the attributes uncheck “seen by camera”

  • You should drop the objects with a dynamics simulator to get that…or move them all by hand.

I would make a grid array of the cans so they don’t touch each other then make the cloner object editable then set up the simulation with what ever you have.. like silver bullet, or the dynamics module or even cloth.

I have explained how to set up cloth dynamics a few times here I am sure you will find a couple threads.
After you get the pile you want Current state the objects so you dont need to simulate again.
